Stand in the middle and there is sea on both sides, 760 yards apart
A neck of land just 760 yards across, joining the northwestern end of Catalina to the rest of it, about 23 miles southwest of San Pedro Harbor. Stand in the middle and there is open water on both sides of you: Isthmus Cove to the north, Catalina Harbor to the south. The village of Two Harbors sits on the northern shore and takes its name from exactly that arrangement.
