A wooden schooner lost off the coast on a July afternoon in 1990
A wooden schooner whose name means Goddess of the Sea, lost off the Catalina coast at 2:25 in the afternoon on 30 July 1990. Wooden hulls are rare among the wrecks in this water and they do not last long in it, which makes a schooner going down within living memory unusual.
