A living pueblo, not a ruin, and visited on the tribe’s terms
A Native American pueblo about 60 miles west of Albuquerque, and the home of a federally recognised tribe. Four communities make up the village: Sky City, which is Old Acoma, along with Acomita, Anzac and McCartys. This is not a ruin and not a ghost town. People live here, the tribe decides who comes and on what terms, and the right way to see it is the way the Acoma themselves offer it.
