Perched above Eureka Springs, the 1886 Crescent has been a luxury resort, a girls’ college, and, most darkly, a fake cancer hospital run in the 1930s by a con man named Norman Baker who killed a good many of his patients. Called America’s most haunted hotel, it runs nightly ghost tours past the morgue he left in the basement. A working hotel; sleep there if you dare.
