Bought out and demolished over its own lead; two people refused to go

A lead and zinc town in the Tri-State Mining District, and the mining is what finished it. The 2010 census counted 138 people. By May 2012 the town was abandoned and most of the buildings and facilities had been demolished, because the lead left behind in the ground had made the place unfit to live in. Two residents refused the federal buyout and stayed on anyway. One of them died in 2016. This is what a boom looks like a hundred years after the boom.
