The Monument Rocks chalk pyramids
Wistar92 · CC0 · source

Chalk spires standing seventy feet out of flat shortgrass prairie, cut from the floor of a Cretaceous sea eighty million years ago. The first National Natural Landmark ever designated. Fossil shark teeth and mosasaur bone weather out of the chalk here, and the whole formation is on private land that the owners leave open.
