A vanished town you can walk, at milepost 54.8 on the Natchez Trace
A ghost town on the Natchez Trace Parkway at milepost 54.8 in Claiborne County, between the parkway and Old Port Gibson Road. The National Park Service maintains the site and the country around it, and the old town ground is open to walk during daylight hours, which makes this one of the easiest vanished towns in the South to actually stand in.
