A cannonball still set above the church windows, in a town the river left
Most of Rodney is gone and what is left is going. The town floods regularly and the surviving buildings carry the damage of it. The one being fought for is the Rodney Presbyterian Church, which the Rodney History and Preservation Society is restoring: its face still shows Civil War damage, and there is a replica cannonball set above the balcony windows where the original struck. A river town that the river stopped needing.
