The biggest free-standing table rock east of the Mississippi

A sandstone pillar standing on its own outside Shoals in the valley of the East Fork of the White River, with a slab balanced on top of it, and the largest free-standing table rock in the United States east of the Mississippi. The stone is Mansfield formation, laid down in the Pennsylvanian between about 325 and 286 million years ago, and erosion working along the fracture lines is what left the neck and the cap.
