A landmark you can photograph but cannot walk up to
A rock formation above the Beaverhead River on Highway 41, twelve miles south of Twin Bridges in Madison County, also called Point of Rocks and protected as a state park. It went on the National Register in 1970. WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOU DRIVE OUT: the site can be viewed and photographed from a distance but is not directly accessible, so this is a look-from-the-road landmark rather than somewhere to walk up to.
