The grandest hotel between Chicago and San Francisco when it opened in 1908, empty since the 1940s, and by ghost-hunting reputation one of the most haunted buildings in the American West: the story of Elizabeth in room 109, thrown chairs on film in 2004, and a town of 200 that mostly shrugs. Privately owned, occasionally toured during Goldfield Days; view it from the street otherwise.
