The most famous American gemstone. Yogo sapphires are an even cornflower blue, clear without any heat treatment, which is almost unheard of, and they came out of a narrow dike in the Little Belt Mountains that frustrated every company that ever tried to mine it profitably. It is PRIVATE and not open to the public, and there is no casual collecting; this pin marks the story and the ground. Yogos are in the Crown Jewels and the Smithsonian. Judith Basin County.
