One of the three rarest agates on Earth, a soft cornflower-to-periwinkle blue found only in the ranch country around Ellensburg and nowhere else. Most of the ground is PRIVATE working ranchland and the good spots are closely held, but there are fee-dig arrangements and the material turns up in the local shops and the annual show. The colour is unmistakable once you have seen it; do not confuse it with common grey chalcedony. Kittitas County.
