A boomtown on a dirt road with nothing populated anywhere near it
A boomtown in Clark County that is now a ghost town on a dirt road, halfway between Arkadelphia and Alpine in what people locally call the middle of nowhere. That is not a figure of speech: there are no populated communities anywhere near it and only a handful of scattered residences within a few miles. It was a working town in the early twentieth century and the country has closed back over it since.
