The Comstock Lode's silver capital keeps its dead close: the Washoe Club's crypt and spiral stairs, the Silver Queen's bride, Piper's Opera House, and a cemetery on the hill that outnumbers the living town. Most of the famous buildings run tours and saloons daily; the whole town is a National Historic Landmark and welcomes the curious.
