A homestead town in the Wheeler County hills that had a store, a school, a hall and enough families to fill them, and now has a white church standing alone in a field of grass with a fence around it and nothing else for miles. The dryland wheat did not pay, the road went elsewhere, and everyone left. It is one of the most photographed ghost towns in Oregon and one of the quietest places you can stand in the state. Structures are FRAGILE and some parcels are private, look and photograph, do not climb or take.
