The Recoleta cemetery in Buenos Aires is a city of the dead: thousands of marble mausoleums packed along narrow avenues, holding presidents, generals and Eva Peron, whose own body was famously stolen, hidden in Italy for sixteen years and eventually buried here under steel plates. Its most-told ghost is Rufina Cambaceres, a young woman said to have been buried alive in 1902 and found turned in her coffin. PUBLIC, free, Argentina.
