The Franklin and Sterling Hill zinc mines hold the greatest variety of minerals of any spot on Earth, and dozens of them blaze red, green and orange under ultraviolet light like nowhere else. The Sterling Hill Mining Museum runs underground tours and a fluorescent-rock dump you may collect from; bring a shortwave UV lamp.
