Out on the old bed of Lake Bonneville west of the Dugway range, geodes lie buried in the lakebed rhyolite ash, hollow and lined with quartz and sometimes banded agate. It is a long drive across the West Desert to public BLM ground where you dig them yourself. Bring everything, including all your water and fuel: this is one of the emptiest quarters of the Lower 48 and there is nothing out there. PUBLIC (BLM), Juab County.
