Alabaster Caverns

Oklahoma

The largest natural gypsum cave in the world open to the public, and the walls are the point: white and pink alabaster plus selenite crystal, and black alabaster from one of only three veins on earth (the others are in Italy and China). Five bat species winter here, over twelve thousand counted in January 2024. PUBLIC hourly tours, 45 minutes, about 330 steps.
