The most valuable unfound grave on the planet. Genghis Khan died in 1227 and was buried in secret near his birth country at Burkhan Khaldun. The sources say the escort killed everyone they met on the road, horses then trampled the ground flat, and the burial party was killed in turn. Mongolia treats the mountain as sacred and there is real national reluctance to disturb it, which is a reason as good as any that it has never been dug. Satellite survey has quietly narrowed the search without breaking ground. UNESCO World Heritage.
