The Nazca of the north: the Ancient Bristlecones... and Bhutan’s Migoi

Bhutan’s yeti is the migoi, and unlike most cryptid traditions this one has official standing: Bhutan created the Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary in 2003 explicitly with the migoi among the species it protects, and issued postage stamps for it. The migoi is said to be able to turn invisible and to walk with its feet backwards to confuse trackers. Sakteng is real, remote, high-altitude forest with genuine biodiversity.
