A hole in the seabed 202 metres deep, in a quiet bay west of Clarence Town on Long Island. The mouth is only about 30 metres across and then it opens out into a cavern 100 metres wide, which is what makes it feel like falling into a bottle. It is the third deepest blue hole known. Either a fault in the limestone let corrosive water up, or a buried cavern collapsed; both are still argued. Freedivers come here because the water is calm and the wall is vertical, and the records are held here: William Trubridge went to 92 metres with no fins in April 2010, and at Vertical Blue in 2025 Walid Boudhiaf reached 118 metres. It has also killed. Nicholas Mevoli died here in November 2013 going for an American record. You can swim in the shallows off the beach without going anywhere near the edge.
