Bou Azzer in the Anti-Atlas is the finest source anywhere of erythrite, the crimson “cobalt bloom,” and Moroccan vanadinite, cerussite and azurite fill collections everywhere; Erfoud and Alnif supply the world’s trilobite and ammonite fossils. Buy from the Marrakesh and Erfoud dealers, and be aware the fossil trade includes a lot of skilful fakes.
