A small alpine valley in Valais that is one of the most celebrated mineral localities in Europe: the Lengenbach quarry has produced dozens of rare arsenic-sulphosalt species new to science, and the surrounding slopes give superb pink fluorite and hematite roses. Collecting is REGULATED by permit through the local association, which runs organised digs, so it is done properly rather than plundered.
