The Bermuda Triangle’s cousin: the Nazca of Kazakhstan

In 2007 a Kazakh economist scanning satellite imagery of the northern steppe found enormous geometric earthworks, squares, crosses, rings and a swastika-like figure, some hundreds of metres across, built of low mounds and only visible from the air. Archaeologists have since dated some of the Turgai geoglyphs to around eight thousand years ago, older than the Nasca lines, and nobody knows what they were for. Real, recent, and genuinely unexplained.
