Oak Island and the Money Pit

The most famous treasure hunt on Earth. Since 1795, when three boys found a saucer-shaped depression under an old oak on this little island in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, people have dug for whatever lies at the bottom of the “Money Pit,” a shaft said to be booby-trapped with flood tunnels that drown every attempt. Six men have died trying. Theories run from pirate gold to the Templars to Shakespeare’s manuscripts; the honest answer is that nobody has ever proven anything is down there at all. The island is PRIVATE and access is controlled, but the mystery is real and unsolved after 230 years.
