Documented folklore from the Club 49 map, told straight and sourced.
On a November afternoon in 1954 a nine-pound stone from space crashed through the roof of a house in Sylacauga, bounced off a radio, and struck Ann Hodges as she napped on her couch, bruising her hip badly. She is the only human being in recorded history confirmed to have been hit by a meteorite. The rock and the story are real; the meteorite went to a museum, and the town has never forgotten the day the sky fell on it.
Sylacauga (Talladega County, AL). Source: TRUE: the only documented person ever struck by a meteorite. The Club 49 map pins this legend at its documented country, beside the real mines, active claims, land status and modeled honey holes of the same ground. Open the free map and go stand in the story.
