Documented folklore from the Club 49 map, told straight and sourced.
A couple walking their dog on their own Gold Country property noticed a rusted can poking from the trail. Eight cans later they had 1,427 U.S. gold coins, 1847 to 1894, worth around ten million dollars, the richest buried-coin recovery in American history. Who buried them was never established, and the couple and the exact site remain anonymous to this day. Proof the ground still holds surprises.
TRUE FIND: Gold Country, Sierra foothills (exact site never disclosed; this pin is symbolic). Source: Saddle Ridge Hoard, February 2014, fully documented. The Club 49 map pins this legend at its documented country, beside the real mines, active claims, land status and modeled honey holes of the same ground. Open the free map and go stand in the story.
