Documented folklore from the Club 49 map, told straight and sourced.
China’s wild man. The yeren is reported from the forested Shennongjia mountains of Hubei, a tall red-haired hominid seen by, among others, local officials and a 1970s state-backed expedition that found hair and footprints but nothing conclusive; analysis identified the hair as human or from known animals. Shennongjia itself is a UNESCO World Heritage forest of genuine biological richness. Told as folklore, with the evidence stated.
Shennongjia, Hubei (China). Source: China’s wild-man tradition; state expeditions found nothing conclusive. The Club 49 map pins this legend at its documented country, beside the real mines, active claims, land status and modeled honey holes of the same ground. Open the free map and go stand in the story.
