Marcus Hook, the pirate haven

Documented folklore from the Club 49 map, told straight and sourced.

The story

The little river town below Philadelphia was a known rendezvous for pirates in the early 1700s, where crews careened their ships and spent their plunder. Blackbeard himself is tied to the place by tradition, along with a street the old maps called Discord Lane and a house said to have belonged to his mistress. Treasure buried along the Delaware here has been hunted for three centuries and never found.

The ground it haunts

Marcus Hook, on the Delaware below Philadelphia (Delaware County, PA). Source: Documented pirate-haven history; the buried treasure is the lore. The Club 49 map pins this legend at its documented country, beside the real mines, active claims, land status and modeled honey holes of the same ground. Open the free map and go stand in the story.
