Flight 19 and the Bermuda Triangle

Documented folklore from the Club 49 map, told straight and sourced.

The story

On December 5th 1945 five Navy Avenger bombers lifted off from Fort Lauderdale on a training run and flew into nothing: their compasses failed, their radio garbled, and all five vanished with fourteen men, along with a rescue plane sent after them. No certain wreckage was ever found. The loss of Flight 19 is where the legend of the Bermuda Triangle was born. This pin sits out over the water they were last heard from.

The ground it haunts

The Atlantic off Fort Lauderdale (FL). Source: A documented 1945 loss, the seed of the Bermuda Triangle legend. The Club 49 map pins this legend at its documented country, beside the real mines, active claims, land status and modeled honey holes of the same ground. Open the free map and go stand in the story.
